Am I allowed to change the play by of a canon character?

Usually, yes. However, you must contact one of the admins before doing so. The admin team all worked on the canon lists together and we each chose different PBs for certain characters. Don't be surprised if the admin you contact redirects you to a different admin as chances are, they didn't choose the PB of the canon you want to play.

What are the the member groups?

There are three groups to choose from: LOCAL, RETURNEE and VISITOR. Obviously, if you choose LOCAL, then your character has been living here for a while or considers Charleston their home now or has moved here and plans to stay. If you choose RETURNEE then your character has been in Charleston and then left for a bit before moving back. VISITOR is self-explanatory, it's for characters that are stopping here but don't necessarily want to make this their home, they'll continue on at some point (or you can change this in the future if your character settles down).

Yes, you are welcome to make another character, BUT it must be male, to keep our ratios even. This has been added to the rules as well (HERE). The only exceptions we will allow are wanted adds.

What does the 'CURRENT BAN' mean?

You've come to ABL and you saw this note at the top of the board: CURRENT BAN: FEMALES, or perhaps CURRENTLY, THERE ARE NO BANS. What does this mean? In the first case, it means that if you make a female character, it will be denied until the number of male characters rises. In the second, it means you are welcome to create either a female or a male character, and you will be accepted :] A ban basically means the characters we don't want to see until the number of others rises.

What month is the board in?

ABL tries to keep in-time with the actual, real time months which means that, right now, it is September. But as you can see on the side graphic, it still says August - *gasp* now what?

Nothing. The admins will get to the picture and edit the text when they have time (sometimes, that doesn't happen as soon as months change, but a little later), but you may RP according to the real-life month.

Well that's because you didn't post in the role play board(s). Only role play posts are counted towards your post count total. This is so we can see who's really active and who merely posts in the OOC boards.

What is a play by/face claim?

Basically, you've started working on your application and you found the option 'play by' - nw what?

A play by or face claim is basically the model/actor you pick as the face of your character. For example, my character, MICHAEL LINUS - his play by/face claim is JENSEN ACKLES.

And that's all there is to it ;]
